Looking for Feedback/Suggestions on a Diversity Initiative

Hello Everyone!

I am relatively new to this group, but I wanted to post a thread to ask for people who may be interested in providing feedback/suggestions on a diversity initiative that I have been fortunate to be a part of.

To provide a bit of background, the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service and The Wildlife Society joined efforts to support increasing diversity as a part of developing professional development and recruitment efforts for the natural resource management workforce. Specifically, we worked to develop strategies for recruitment and retention for increasing underrepresented groups in the natural resource management workforce. We also worked to assess and summarize the history and scope of the problems associated with the lack of diversity in the natural resource management workforce for each of four topic areas: K-12 students, college students, early professionals, and current professionals. I was specifically part of the K-12 subgroup and think that this group could provide us with some excellent feedback as to if we hit the major issues and if we provide realistic recommendations.

In other words, our subgroup has a 4-page document, however now we would like to reach out to experts for their opinions/suggestions/feedback. We want to ensure we are not missing major gaps, issues, etc. and we want to ensure our list of recommendations could realistically be implemented.

If you have any questions or are interested in providing feedback, please feel free to email me at: angelallarsen@gmail.com.

Thank you all!
