Seeking recs for reviewers for Samsung contest

Hi all,

NAAEE is currently working on the review process for a partnership in the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow contest. As part of the contest, NAAEE is responsible for choosing this year’s Sustainability Innovation Award winner.

The Sustainability Innovation Award is a part of Samsung’s 12th Annual Solve for Tomorrow Contest, a STEM-based education competition for 6th-12th grade students. Since 2010, the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow Contest has awarded $20 million in Samsung technology and classroom materials to more than 2,500 public schools in the United States. Solve for Tomorrow is designed to address the growing education gap and career readiness shortage in STEM skills in the U.S. Click here to learn more about Samsung’s Solve for Tomorrow: https://www.samsung.com/us/solvefortomorrow/(link is external).

Submissions for the Sustainability Innovation Award will include a 3-minute video in which teams describe their innovation. We’re looking for reviewers that might be a good fit for this contest and award. Preferably, reviewers will have knowledge and experience of EE for 6th-12th graders in the U.S. Reviewers will be responsible for watching, rating, and commenting on up to fifteen 3-minute videos. The review period will last for 2 weeks in March, and reviewers will be provided an honorarium for their time.

If you are interested, please email me (madeline@naaee.org) or Nina Hamilton (nina@naaee.org) by Feb 11 with a description of 1) your K-12 background/experience and 2) any reviewer experience you might have.

Thank you for your thoughtful consideration.
