The Redford Center's 2022 Stories Challenge is part of an environmental justice curriculum for youth in 5th-12th grades. This year, educators are using the curriculum in 34 states and 12 countries to teach students about how environmental justice affects them. In the Stories Challenge, students submit a 90-second film relating to one of our three environmental justice prompts. For more details on each prompt, see the website below.
The future I envision is…
I’m an environmentalist because…
A call to action.
The challenge does not require any previous experience in filmmaking; students can use a cell phone, tablet or other device to create their environmental films. Submissions are open to any youth ages 10-18, even if they are not currently using the Stories Program curriculum in their classroom, home school, or out of school program. The winning films will be announced on April 22, Earth Day!
