Wildlife Capture & Chemical Immobilization (Online)

COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course is for students and professionals interested in learning about all aspects of capturing and immobilizing wild animals using a variety of drugs. This course is also the prerequisite for a 4-day FIELD COURSE designed to provide students a one-of-a-kind, hands-on learning experience capturing and chemically immobilizing wolves, bears, and other wildlife at the Wildlife Science Center in Stacy, MN. Following the course, students will take an exam to earn a certification from Center for Wildlife Studies. Those participants taking the course for academic credit will take an additional written exam to earn credit from College of the Atlantic.
DATES: June 14-25, 2021
COST: Early bird fee (ends May 15th): $550 professional / $450 student
