2021 Ocean Literacy Summit - A Hybrid Event

The Ocean Literacy Summit is a biennial conference that brings together educators and scientists from across New England and surrounding states to share marine science and oceanographic developments along with innovative approaches for teaching ocean science in formal and informal settings. To demonstrate the power of collaboration and communication among professionals in these sectors, all of the Summit’s concurrent sessions feature scientists and educators as co-presenters. NEOSEC encourages formal educators, informal educators, and scientists to attend. The 2021 Summit will focus on Ocean Literacy Principle 4: The ocean made Earth habitable.
Summit price breakdown:
- $45.00 - virtual only (November 10th)
- $65.00 - virtual and field trip (November 10th and 11th)
- $20.00 - field trip only (November 11th)

Our virtual sessions will run from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm on November 10th with optional lunch, trivia, and networking following. Field trips will occur November 11th throughout New England including a Prudence Island tour with the Narragansett Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve, tidepool tour at Northeastern Marine Science Center, Mystic Aquarium tour, and more!
