The Invasive Species Council of British Columbia has developed a new Invasive-Wise Education program to provide BC curriculum-linked lesson plans that can be used in the classroom, at home, and outdoors in the schoolyard or local parks.

League for Green Leaders is an online climate-action competition for children in grades 3-8 that is empowering, playful and action-based. The goal of the program is to make climate action engaging, relevant, and solvable for children.

This program is for teachers in grades 3-6 and uses snow and ice to explore topics in Earth Science, ELA, Math, Technology, Geography and Cultures. A free downloadable student journal is also available for ease of use in the classroom. Some of the activities in this program are inquiry based, allowing your students to ask and answer questions they have regarding the topic. Other activities require research or experiments to find answers you may pose. Some activities need to be completed outside, while others can be completed in the classroom.
